his newly constructed Inn of log siding gives you the warmth and comfort of a real getaway experience. The cozy country furnishings in each room will allow you to enjoy, more fully, the real charm of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our large porches and spacious grounds, shaded by fruit trees, make an ideal setting for family reunions and other group gatherings.
Each room has individually controlled heat and air conditioning. The kitchen area is furnished with a portable refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffeemaker plus a small dining area. One of the units has a large dining area that will accommodate six people.
A screened door opens from each room onto a large porch furnished with rocking chairs and a fabulous view any season of the year you wish to visit. You will find yourself leaving your cares far behind as you bask in the fresh mountain air filled with rich aromas of evergreens and wildflowers in nature's own magnificent setting.
At the end of your day, you will surely want to relax in the whirlpool tub that each room is provided. You may also choose to watch some TV or bring along your own movies for the VCR. The beautifully sloped countryside behind the Inn will allow children to run and play.
We also have a large barn beside the Inn, which can accommodate horses overnight. Two stocked ponds grace the back of this area. A view of Buffalo Mountain is seen from one side of these accomidations, and the winding Blue Ridge Parkway on the other.
You may wish to drive south on the Blue Ridge to the famous Biltmore House and Gardens or north to Shenandoah National Park. Whatever you choose to do, we promise you a most enjoyable stay here at the Volunteer Gap Inn.
